Add Outline Entries to a Page
Each page in your outline can have as many entries and subentries as you want, down to any
number of levels. Typing is as simple as typing in any word processor.
To add a new entry, select one to insert it after, and choose Outline > New Entry or press
Return. Then type as much as you want at the insertion point.
To indent an entry, select it and press Tab. Or just drag its control.
To add a new entry while typing the previous one, press Command-Return. Do this in
the middle of an entry to break it into two.
WHAT ELSE?
To have Return add a new entry while typing, rather than Command-Return (for example, if you don't need
paragraph breaks within outline entries), use NoteTaker's Entries preferences. For details, and for others
ways to control outline editing, see "Customize Outline Editing and Links" on page 126.
Look in the Outline menu for convenient ways to build, collapse, and expand your outline. For example, to
insert a new outline entry at the top of the outline, use the Outline > New Entry Above command.
Power Tips:
To add a new entry and indent it at the same time, press Control-Return.
To add an entry directly above the current one, press Command-Enter. Or select an entry (by clicking to
the left of its control), and press Shift-Return.
